Through the Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Benefit Scheme, pregnant mothers enrolled in PICME and who have financial needs can avail benefits, which give them access to quality healthcare during pregnancy. The Tamil Nadu government provides cash assistance of up to Rs 18,000 to pregnant women under this program. The first amount of Rs 4,000 will be given to every pregnant mother.
During the seventh month of pregnancy, it provides all the necessary healthcare. The second amount of Rs 4,000 will be given to the mother after the birth. Mothers who give birth in government or local body institutions are eligible for this. After the child receives the third dose of DPT, hepatitis and polio vaccines, the mother will get the third installment, which is Rs 4000.

Eligibility Criteria
० The pregnant mother should be of age 19 years and above.
० The applicant should certify the economic status of PICME.
० Mothers delivered at Private Medical College approved under Dr MRMBS Scheme are also eligible after ensuring the provision of free delivery services including caesarean deliveries.
० Pregnant women who are members of the Farmers Social Security Scheme are also eligible to get this cash assistance.
० Only for two deliveries Maternity assistance is provided.

Dr.Muthulakshmi Maternity Benefit Scheme Status Check Online
STEP 1: When you initially enter the portal, select the “Application ID Status” option at the top of the screen.
STEP 2: A new page requesting your PICME number or registration ID will show up when you re-register. Enter each detail carefully.
STEP 3: after your ID registration is complete. To enter your information, click the submit button. After that, your request will start to be handled.
STEP 4: Your pre-registration ID status will be shown on your screen.
STEP 5: After your request has been processed, the status of your PICME number will show on the screen.
